Welcome to Wobbly Bottom Farm
Makers of goat's cheese and sales of goats cheese, cow cheese and ewe (sheep) cheese
Alan and Angela run a small farm situated a mile outside the historic market town of Hitchin in Hertfordshire. The farm has a mixed dairy goat herd of British Saanens, British Alpines, British Toggenburgs and Anglo Nubians all selected for their fine quality milk.
The Farm runs an open barn policy and the goats are free to choose to stay undercover or graze on the 39 acres of grass fields.
The goat feed is mixed on the farm and at present about 65 % of what the goats eat is produced at Wobbly Bottom. We have just planted 18 acres of spring beans to be added to the feed ration and once this is harvested we will be producing 85% of the feed. This ensures that we know that the quality of the feed and hence the milk and cheese is at its highest.
Wobbly Bottom Farm now makes a range of wonderful tasty soft goat’s cheese, a great Camembert styled cheese called Pure Pirton as well as a hard cheese made in a Cheshire style
