Meet the real team!
The mixed herd at Wobbly Bottom Farm is comprised of four varieties of goat that have been exclusively bred for dairy production.

British Saanens
This is one of the white goats you see on the farm. They are bred in the UK and largely influenced by Saanen goats imported from Switzerland. Its white coat is short and fine, but freckles and patches of colour sometimes feature on the skin.

British Alpines
This goat is black with white Swiss markings and has been bred in the UK. The breed can be rangy with a short, fine goat. A fine-looking animal when the black coat acquires its summer gloss!

British Toggenburgs
A brown and white goat with Swiss markings, also bred in the UK. A medium brown colour is the typical, but lighter and darker colours are also common. Light fringes of long hair appear on an otherwise short and silky coat.

Anglo-Nubians
The main identifying feature of this breed is the head, which has a pronounced “roman” nose and long drooping ears. The goat has a long, deep body and an upright stance. There are a wide range of colour variations
